8 30-mL dropper bottles of water
8 180-mL bottles of 4% polyvinyl alcohol solution
8 30-mL bottles of 4% sodium borate solution
8 7-mL bottles of blue food coloring
45 plastic strips and 45 plastic squares each of:
polypropylene (blue)
